Makeup Makeup is usually manufactured to be stored at room temperature. They might not withstand the temperature in the refrigerator and might not come back to its normal state after it has been refrigerated. 2. Creams and lotions Creams and lotions can be kept in the refrigerator to prevent them from drying out, especially in the summer season. The best thing would be to store eye creams in the refrigerator as it would give a cooling, almost sensory effect to the eyes when applied cold.Even lotions and serums applied when cold will soothe the skin, prevent puffiness and even increase the blood circulation. 3. Nail Polish Refrigerating of nail polish can increase its shelf life but it can also ruin the texture of the polish.

It may return to its normal state at room temperature. This clumping up is usually called the phase separation of nail polish. 4. Perfume Perfume should always be kept in a cool and dry place. If kept in the refrigerator it can break down the smell and reduce the actual fragrance of the perfume. 5.

Natural products There are a lot of natural products that we use for our skin and hair. Oils like coconut oil and olive oil are best if kept in the refrigerator, as it can prevent them from going rancid. Some natural products like honey or aloe Vera are best kept at room temperature and will not go bad even if kept outside. Refrigeration doesn't mean that it will preserve the products.

Products which do not come with preservatives will not have a long shelf life even if kept in the fridge. If you do want to store your cosmetics in the refrigerator, make sure you store it in a separate one, away from all the food products, for sanitary and safety purposes. So now that you know what cosmetics should and not be stored in the refrigerator, refrigerate only those that need to be.
