1. Do regular manicure:

Wash your hands after removing your current nail polish. Cut your nails if necessary.  Cut it straight across.  Then file your nail in one direction. Smoothen the nail surface using a nail buffer.  Use almond oil or vitamin E oil to gently massage your nails. Gently push the cuticle back. Don’t cut your cuticles as they protect your nails from bacteria and other germs.  After that, exfoliate your hands with any homemade scrub or scrub from a reliable brand.

Home-made exfoliator for hands

1/2 cup sugar

1/4 cup sea salt

2 tablespoons local honey

1 teaspoon jojoba oil

1/8 cup of shea butter

2 tablespoons coconut oil

5–10 drops any aromatic oil (argan oil, rose oil, etc)

Mix them together to get your own hand-made scrub

After exfoliating, your hands wash them thoroughly.  Make sure you don’t have any speck of scrub left in your hands. Wipe the hands with a towel and pat dry.

Massage your hands with a good moisturizer.  After that, remember to wipe off the nails with nail polish remover to remove it from nails.

2. Take care of your nails the right way

Apart from a good manicure routine take care of your nails from harsh household chemicals. Use gloves while washing dishes. Use acetone-free nail polish remover.  Give the soft drink cans or bottle to your boyfriend if you don’t have a can opener handy.

3. Don’t wet hands often

Cleanse, moisturize and trim your nails regularly. Don’t soak your nails in water. Drink lots of water.

3. Olive oil-soak to grow strong nails

Take olive oil in a bowl and soak your finger for 10minutes.  After that take your hands out and massage the oil into your nails. You can leave it overnight for better results.
